8-30Poem 1 -- Write a Nonce Sonnet. Nonce means the poet has decided on the terms of formal regularity in the text. A sonnet is traditionally written in iambic pentameter with 14 lines and a set rhyme scheme (abab, cdcd, efef, gg) (See pg 24). In your nonce sonnet, you decide on the terms.
