If you're wishing to take BIS 401 as an integrated option with BIS 402, after registering for BIS 402 you still need to submit a BIS 401 application through the regular process. Those applications are due by 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 13. Click here to access it. However, in order to be placed in a 401 section also overseen by Dave Wells, you need to contact him no later than Tuesday, November 11 explaining how your planned 401 overlaps/connects to the 402 course and he'll contact those overseeing applications.

If you have a qualifying 401 experience and the 402 section happens to be full, then those students contacting Dave by the November 11 deadline with a qualifying 401 experience will be placed in the 402 section, if their 401 application is approved.
