Oboe Art and Method. A comprehensive book of oboe technique published in 2009 by Oxford University Press. Covers every detail of oboe technique, musicianship, and professional guidance. Barret Oboe Method Complete. Revised and Expanded Edition.A new publication from Kalmus (2010) including all of the Barret Oboe Method relevant to the modern student. The substantial revision from my 2001 publication now contains Barret's preliminary remarks, the 30 Scales, 12 Articulation Studies, 40 Progressive Melodies, 4 Sonatas, and 16 Grand Studies. In addition, the layout has been improved for page turns and a few mistakes found in the earlier publication have been corrected.

Rustiques. A CD of reed trio music with clarinetist Robert Spring and bassoonist Jeffrey Lyman. Works by Tansman, Canteloube, Schulhoff, and Villa Lobos.

And coming very soon... A new edition of the Ferling 48 Studies, Op. 31. This is based on the original publication from the 1830's and will have a surprising number of differences from the published versions in common use. Stay tuned for news of its release by Kalmus later this year.
