My Name is

Hi, my name is Kris Blackburn.
Please only call me Kris; I will not answer to Kristopher. In fact my mother will not even call me Kristopher. It is something that has bothered me for many years.

I am originally from Ventura California, but moved to the valley of the sun in August 1992 with the plan to go to Arizona State University.

Currently I am a senior at Arizona State University the West Campus; With two majors

         First  I'm a secondary education major. Social studies are my particular field of interest.     Second I am becoming a Sociology major as well.

 I have also gone to school for radio broadcasting and had a radio show in the valley for over two years. I also worked for a local sports station for a short time. This is a chance for me to change my life and further my career goals. That’s why I am here to learn and to grow.

I currently have many jobs

(other than just school)

I work for the Austin Center For Exceptional Learners school in Glendale Arizona as a Teacher assistant and a part time Behavior Coach. I also work for the Maricopa County Youth Advocate Program and the Youth Advocate Programs INC. behavioral health offices in Maricopa county. Where I work with at high risk teens.

Then on my free times I help out my sisters company

 "A Black Tie Affair"   a server and bartending staffing company.


I bet you didn't know this

Something unique or interesting about me would have to be that every year I run a Halloween store, not for the money. Even though it helps with my expenses every year. It’s because I truly love Halloween. I love every thing about it. I have a library of books and an entire wall of horror movies.      

  I am obsessed with the holiday. I am so into the holiday I have Halloween decorations up in my living room all year long, including a six foot tall amitotic Freddy Kruger who talks and moves his head. My family thinks I’m a freak, because of how much I love one day off the year.  I spend weeks even months decorating for one night. I really don’t even dress up. It’s the art of the creativity and the expressions of faces as they freak out by my displays. So maybe I am a freak in a way but that’s my thing and now you know.
