Module 3

Welcome to Module 3.
Here's what's happening this week:
This week's links-
"There is no saving the Internet," he said. "There is postponing the inevitable for a little longer."
Those are the words of Dan Kaminsky, the man who discovered a flaw in the architecture of the Internet so severe, it would have brought the entire thing down had he revealed it publicly. This was in June of 2008.
Read about "The Hole in the Internet"-

Since then, another critical error in the design of the Internet has been discovered-

A new protocol is coming! IPv4 is being replaced by IPv6.

Lecture 3- I record my lecture every Thursday afternoon at 1:15 PM in CNTR 105 (Poly campus). Please come and attend if you can make it! Otherwise, the lecture will be online by 3 PM Thursday afternoon.
Quiz 1- Immediately following the lecture, I will open Quiz 1 so that you can take it. The quiz will remain open until Sunday, Feb. 8th at midnight. This gives you nearly 4 days to complete it, but remember- you only get one attempt, so be prepared. I will distribute a "study guide" early this week.
Reminder- you will need the Respondus Lockdown Browser to take this quiz. Open it, and use it to access our course and the exam as you normally would.
