Thank You!!!During this semester’s coarse of Migration and Culture I learned a great deal about the impact of what immigration and emigration can do to an economy, either good or bad. It has definitely broadened my views and has helped me understand who is come to the US, why they are coming, and why they are staying. Most American’s do not understand what type of lifestyle they are able to live here in the US and what great opportunities are handed to them. This lifestyle that is taken for granite and is what most other countries thrive to be able to live. By taking the class trip down to Nogales, Mexico helped me understand better what type of lifestyle that other countries live. The living, working, and even shopping environments are completely different. By being able to speak with natives to Nogales also helped me understand that not everyone wants to come to American and be American and that some people are happy where they are at. |
