Calendula Skin Repair Cream:

Just in time for winter our richest and most healing hand, face, and body creme.    This rich creamy lotion is a soft golden color from the Calendula CO2 extract. (Calendula has been known for milennia as a wound healing agent and soothing anti-inflammatory.)  This gentle healing lotion is safe for the most sensitive skin, but packed with some of our most powerful skin repairing and revitalizing botanicals.

We've been using it as a hand and body creme for chapped, rough and damaged skin and KNEW we had found something we needed to make available to you.

Melissa Calendula Lip Balm:

We've received a lot of raves from people who have used our diluted Melissa Essential Oil on cold sores, fever blisters, whatever you choose to call them.   We've combined our organic Melissa, added healing Calendula extract to soothe the irritation and blended them into the richest, most soothing carrier oils we could find.  A generous dollop of the raw Shea Butter described below, smidges of three different waxes to give enough body, and voila - a healing, soothing lip balm.  Packaged in the wee compacts shown, five grams of healing comfort.

Traditional Golden Shea Butter:

Creamy golden in color, softly "spreadable" at room temperature, it is a delight.  Traditionally processed Shea Butter retains all of the botanical riches such as Vitamin A compounds, allantoin (found in aloe and comfrey), and circuminoids (anti-cancer compounds found in cumin) and catechins (anti-oxidant flavenoids also found in green tea.)  This is by far the most appealing Shea Butter we have ever experienced.

ALLERGY NOTE:  Those individuals with BOTH a latex allergy and a nut allergy may react to Shea Butter.

Himalayan Cedarwood Hydrosol:

If you love the scent of our Atlas or Himalayan Cedarwood oils, you are going to also love this wonderfully aromatic hydrosol from India.  I see it as a wonderful introduction to natural skincare for the man in your life. 

Cedarwood Hydrosol is a fantastic toner for oily or combination skin.

Recommended for use on animals as an aromatic flea spray for both dogs and cats, as well as to help eliminate dander and keep their coats shiny and sweet smelling.

All in all, a very valuable skincare addition to your arsenal, and one whose aroma will appeal to the men who tend to reject the more floral hydrosols.

Vetiver Hydrosol:

This is a new hydrosol for us, and very little research has been published about its uses.   Since I am a Vetiver lover, I had to import it.   Emotionally, it feels as grounding as the essential oil distilled with it. 

I have seen a blend of Neroli, Rose and Vetiver hydrosol recommended as an aphrodisiac body spray...   and if anxiety is the cause of lack of interest, this one would surely relieve the anxiety!  

For skincare uses, I would expect Vetiver Hydrosol to be useful for dry skin, and especially for acne that accompanies dry, rather than oily, skin.

More softly scented than the Cedarwood Hydrosol above, it would still be a wonderful unisex hydrosol for a man's skincare needs.

Extra Virgin Coconut Cream Oil:

Cocos Nucifera, Cold Pressed from the Cream of the Coconut, Solvent Free, now ORGANICALLY grown and processed in the Philippines.

Virgin Coconut Cream smells just like a freshly grated coconut. It can be used in soap or lip balms, but it's great all by itself. It immediately liquefies and soaks in when applied to the skin.

Traditionally Coconut Cream has been used in Polynesia as both a hair and skin moisturizer and conditioning treatment. 

In the summer's heat, virgin coconut oil will probably melt during shipping.  For this reason we may only ship it during cool weather.

Nature's Gift Belly Balm:

We've been getting lots of requests, and it's finally ready!  Our newly reformulated Belly Balm...  a creamy smooth blend of Organic Virgin Coconut Cream Oil, richly aromatic Cocoa Butter,  with Argan Oil and Rosehip Seed Oil, both often said to prevent stretch marks.   We've added a smidge of corn starch for a powdery soft finish.

Tuberose Absolute:

Tuberose Absolute is a must for anyone with an interest in perfumery, or a desire to experience new scents.

Some sources indicate that the oil might be effective in treating impotence or frigidity. Emotionally, it is said to induce relaxation, and help in protecting personal energy and personal boundaries. The alleged relaxing reaction has not been my personal experience with this glorious oil, however.

It takes 3600 pounds of blossoms to produce 1 pound of the absolute.

Vitex Berry Oil:

Vitex agnus castus  Wild crafted from berries in Turkey, Steam Distilled. Anecdotal evidence indicates that the Vitex Tree's various essential oils (available from both leaf and berry) may be extraordinarily powerful for women in dealing with various menstrual and menopausal discomforts; however the oil is immensely powerful and needs careful and judicious use.

Hazelnut Oil:

Hazelnut oil penetrates the skin quickly, and nourishes the skin.  It has a mildly astringent action and thus is a base oil of choice for oily skin or skin with acne.

Studies in Chili have recently shown that Hazelnut Oil acts as a strong sun filter so it would be a valuable addition to a natural sunscreen.

Jasmine (Motia) Hydrosol:

Traditionally produced Indian Attar's are produced by codistillation of Sandalwood and various other aromatics which normally can not be distilled.  The stunning MOTIA attar is produced by distilling Jasmine Sambac blooms into a receiver filled with Sandalwood oil.  The resulting co-distillate (the hydrosol) is richly and lushly scented with Jasmine, underlined with the sweet depth of true Indian Sandalwood.

Rinse your hair with it (did you know that human hair retains aromatics far longer than oils applied to the skin? fact!)... and be surrounded by a cloud of jasmine blooms ...  spritz your pillowcase with it for relaxation and romance.

Rose Hip Hydrosol:

Organically grown and distilled in the northwestern USA we've been waiting for the rose hips to ripen so this rare hydrosol could be produced.

Rose hips are known to be very high in Vitamin C, which, being water soluble, would be captured in this hydrosol.  It is new to us, and I'm not sure of the skincare properties yet.  I am assuming the Vitamin C should have an anti-aging effect, while the hydrosol itself seems a bit astringent, perhaps better for oily skin?  The distiller says that it is a wonderful skin toner (she is using it herself) and many of her commercial customers are using it in lotions and creams.

Roman Chamomile Hydrosol:

It's been out of stock for far too long, and JUST arrived!!

Roman Chamomile Hydrosol is extraordinarily valuable ... soothing and relaxing. I know of nothing better to sooth dry, flaky, itchy skin, rashes, acne, eczema, etc. Skin problems including the mucus membranes, including mouth, gums, respiratory tract and anal and genital areas may safely be treated with this gentle and relaxing anti-inflammatory. A compress of Roman Chamomile gently eases a migraine. Some authorities recommend it for intestinal spasms and urinary tract infections. The Essential Oil is known to be effective against muscle spasms. I personally take the Hydrosol orally for intestinal cramps and spasms. A pregnant friend used it as a sitz bath when she developed hemorrhoids. I use it to soothe 'sandpapery' eyelids when I've been on the computer too long, and to 'get the red out'.

Old Growth Forest:

Recently we saw an article in our local newspaper, The Nashville Tennessean, that moved all of us.  The story of an "Old Growth Forest" hidden away within the Nashville city limits.  The forest has been undisturbed for several hundred years.  The real estate corporation that owns it has offered to let the group that supports many of our parks buy it.
