CoLang 2018: Semantic and Pragmatic Fieldwork

Here you can find links to the slides, resources and handouts we will use/are using in our workshop. Check back often for updates throughout the workshop!

Please take this short intake survey (follow this link) when you get a chance. This survey is anonymous and is not obligatory. It just helps me learn more about your experiences and interests, which helps me focus the workshop to make the most of our time together.

Slides//

Here are the slides from our workshop. There is only one set for the whole workshop, which I will update everyday. So make sure to check back for the updated version! The slides are embedded into this webpage (Just click on the "Present" button and look for the navigation buttons below). Please let me know if you have any difficulties.

Follow this link to the pdf version of these slides (which I will also update everyday after the workshop).

Links and other files//

Here is a link to the `homework' sheet I handed out in Day 2. Please do your best to work on it, and we'll discuss it in class!

Here is a link to the pdf used in Day 3.

We'll be working with the storyboards created at totemfieldstoryboards.org. Have a look around! There are some also great storyboard resources and additional background at the MPI. Of course this is not exhaustive, but it should get you started.
