The Arizona State University Horn Studio
ASU is a great place to study horn! The Arizona State University School of Music has been the home of one of the leading brass programs in the country for many years. As one of the top music programs in the country with over 700 music majors and 100 faculty, ASU features excellent student ensembles, great facilities, and a world-class program of study that is one of the best educational bargains around. A wide variety of degrees are offered, including undergraduate degrees in performance, music education, and music therapy, the MM in performance, and the Doctor of Musical Arts.
John Ericson is enthusiastic about all things French horn and about working toward performance goals with students. Check the links for more information on horn study at ASU (noting also that the complete content of the classic horn website Horn Articles Online is presented within this stuido website as a resource for the horn community), and feel free to contact Dr. Ericson directly with any questions you may have.
Our mission at the ASU horn studio is to strive for excellence in performance and to encourage and challenge each other in a supportive atmosphere.
