ASU's EcoCAR 3 team is in need of students from all majors. For the engineering teams, we need students from the areas of mechanical, electrical and computer engineering, controls engineering, and systems modeling and simulation. We are also interested in public relations, media production (photo, video, web), communication and project management majors for our communications and project management teams. In addition to our positions, we have the EcoCAR 3 Club, in which students can participate as time allows.

Project Management Student Leader

  • Title: EcoCAR3 Project Manager, ( EC3 PM )
  • Expected Funding: To be determined
  • Roles & Responsibilities of EC3 PM:
    • - With PM Faculty Leader: Selection, guiding and supervising of Undergraduate Asst PMs
    • - Assist with University grant & scholarship applications to PMI
    • - Leadership role in design and distribution of Sponsorship Packets
    • - Overall design & maintenance of EC3 PM computer system using Microsoft Project

Undergraduate PM Team Members

  • 4 to 6 Students, recruited from majors such as:
    • - Engineering Management
    • - Industrial Engineering
    • - Dual Major Engr & Business
    • - Technology Management
  • Recruitment of EC3 Asst PMs will begin as soon as EC3 PM is finalized
  • Roles & Responsibilities of EC3 PM:
    • - Develop overall project timeline
    • - Develop overall work/task requirements & timelines
    • - Tracking & executing activities including:
      • - Risk Management
      • - Human Resource Management
      • - Internal Communications
      • - Procurement & Cost Control/Management
      • - Quality Control/Quality Assurance
      • - Change Control
      • - Stakeholder Management
      • - Identification and contact of potential sponsors

Research & Publication Annual Requirement

  • Required to write & present at least one EC3 paper at annual IEEE-IEEM conference
