I joined the Neuer laboratory as a Research Assistant in spring 2009. My work here is to analyze remotely sensed data for the Salt River reservoir system. In particular, I am developing a model that depicts the relationship between satellite and field data. In future, this model will reduce the need for field sampling.
I was born and brought up in Jaipur, India. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Rajasthan University, India. While doing my B.S. I also worked on two projects. The first was titled “Analysis of Production of Immunosuppressant Cyclosporin from fungal strain, using different optimizing methods” at Concord Biotech Limited. The second project was “Sequential and Structure analysis of 310 helices in transmembrane proteins” at the Indian Institute of Science. I joined ASU in August 2008 as a Computational Biosciences graduate student.
My goal for the Neuer Lab is to make use of computer programming and statistics to improve our understanding of the environment.
Finally, I enjoy sports and have also represented my school at National Level for Athletics and Basketball. I also have a passion to travel and see new places.
