Students Evaluate their Instructors

Teachers evaluate the performance of students in every course. At ASU, students also evaluate their teacher's performance! Of course, students' evaluations of instructors should not be the ONLY criterion to judge the performance of instructors. However, instructors must take the evaluations from students seriously, and use the scores and comments made by students to improve their teaching. The followings are two sample evaluations from my students in CSE240 (Introduction to Programming Languages), Spring 2004. The samples are complete. They include both numerical scores (out of 5) and written comments. The samples are official and are NOT edited in anyway. They are simply downloaded from ASU evaluation site at <https://intraweb.eas.asu.edu/eval/instructor/>.
